Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy Template
Two anti-bribery and corruption policy templates in one download. The main version is written for an organisation running an anti-bribery management system (ABMS) to ISO 37001. V2 is a general anti-bribery, fraud and competition policy that names the legislation, for organisations without an ABMS and for Common Assessment Standard applications.
The policy has Approved By and Date Approved fields and carries a Public information classification, so it can be shared with workers, clients and other interested parties.
The ISO 37001 Version
- Policy statement - prohibition of bribery and corruption, and an ABMS meeting ISO 37001 with anti-bribery objectives reviewed and set
- Commitments - defining bribery, confidential reporting without fear of reprisal, an independent anti-bribery function, consequences of non-compliance, objectives and continual improvement
- What is bribery - the definition, facilitation payments, and gifts and hospitality
- Anti-bribery function - its authority, independence and reporting
- Reporting concerns - the responsibility of all workers, with confidential channels and no reprisal
V2 - Anti-Bribery, Fraud and Competition
- The two rules - do not offer, promise or pay bribes, and do not request, agree to or accept them, with facilitation payments treated as bribes
- Controls - risk assessment, due diligence, financial controls, contract clauses, gifts and hospitality records, training and monitoring
- Annual review - processes reviewed against the Bribery Act each year
- Competition law - no price fixing, bid rigging, market sharing or exchange of sensitive information, with controls to detect and avoid it
- Designated person, reporting and investigation - who gives guidance and receives reports, and how reports are investigated
- Communication, training, monitoring and legislation - induction and toolbox talks with attendance recorded, internal audit, and the legislation that applies
Written for the Common Assessment Standard
V2 covers the points the Common Assessment Standard (CAS) question set asks an anti-bribery and corruption policy to include, including controls on fraud and malpractice, the review against the Bribery Act, competition law, a designated person, and how reports are investigated.
Included in the ISO Toolkits
The ISO 37001 version is part of the ISO 37001 Toolkit. V2 is included in the ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001 and ISO 22301 toolkits and every alphaZ ISO toolkit that combines them.
Works with the Bribery Risk Assessments
The RA-BR1 Bribery and Corruption and RA-BR32 Anti-Competitive Practices risk assessments cover the risks the policy asks to be assessed, the TT-1-18 Anti-bribery and Corruption toolbox talk supports the training, and the PP-1-19 Anti-bribery procedure is written for an ISO 37001 system.
